Causes We Support
We believe a successful business is dependent upon a healthy environment and a thriving community. This is why we are working on establishing several initiatives to reduce our impact and support causes that align with our values. Beginning in 2021, our company has committed to being 100% paperless by transitioning all our business operations to an online format including paperless filing, online invoicing and bill payments, and cloud-based information and data exchange. Additionally, we are now a fully remote workforce. By working from home we help reduce the number of cars on the road reducing our company’s overall carbon footprint. Supporting Public Lands
Public land is essential to human wellbeing. Americans collectively own approximately 640 million acres of public land. Public lands support healthy ecosystems and healthy economies, while also providing inspiration and recreation for millions of Americans every year. Protecting Our Water
Water is an important resource and can be easily contaminated by trash, stormwater and agriculture runoff. Clean water and healthy rivers are vital for a thriving community and climate resilience. This is why we are contributing money to California Coastkeeper Alliance, whose mission is to protect the water sources by advocating for critical legislation and holding leaders, legislators and polluters accountable. Honoring Our Heroes
Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a charity whose mission is to honor America’s heroes including fallen first responders and veterans. They do this through several programs including building mortgage-free smart homes for injured veterans and first responders, paying off mortgages of fallen law enforcement and firefighters and combating veterans homelessness. Improving Community Resilience
California is no stranger to wildfires. With the effects of wildfires being exacerbated by climate change, the need to improve community resilience is imperative. This is why we are donating to One805, an organization that supports Santa Barbara County's first responding agencies with funding, mental health support and providing needed equipment. Serving Underprivileged Youth
Mentoring younger generations is an important part of being a business leader. Youth from underprivileged communities are especially vulnerable and can benefit greatly from a mentorship program. We are donating to Training C.A.M.P. (Communities to Achieve Maximum Potential), an organization that offers an after-school tutoring program that gives kids the knowledge and tools to succeed in the future. Supporting Regenerative Agriculture
Agriculture has a huge impact on our planet. The way we are currently producing our food is unsustainable and damaging the Earth’s ecosystems. Regenerative agriculture is one way forward. By improving farming practices we can ensure the land can be used for generations to come. We are supporting regenerative agriculture by donating to Kiss the Ground, a non-profit that focuses on educating the public about regenerative practices and advocating for new regulations.
