Causes We Support
We believe a successful business is dependent upon a healthy environment and a thriving community. This is why we are working on establishing several initiatives to reduce our impact and support causes that align with our values. Beginning in 2021, our company has committed to being 100% paperless by transitioning all our business operations to an online format including paperless filing, online invoicing and bill payments, and cloud-based information and data exchange. Additionally, we are now a fully remote workforce. By working from home we help reduce the number of cars on the road reducing our company’s overall carbon footprint. Further, we have donated money to several organizations whose mission is to build a better future for all. You can review the causes we support below:
SAVING FURRY FRIENDS
CHARLIE
CHARLIE — close company friend — was suddenly diagnosed with lymphoma in the fall of 2024 and had to undergo seven months of expensive chemotherapy. He is now six months post-chemo and shows great signs of recovery, which as a cat present themselves as eating, sleeping, lounging and cuddling — a routine he assures us was prescribed by his doctor. We are absolutely thrilled at his progress and a bit jealous of his ongoing convalescence.
BUDDY
BUDDY — official company cat and self-elected CEO — developed an autoimmune disorder called “stomatitis” in which his immune system began to ruthlessly attack his own body, specifically the plague on his teeth, leading to incessant inflammation and infection. It is not known what causes stomatitis and the current recommendation is full dental extraction. He went into surgery the day after Charlie’s graduation, and like Charlie has made an incredible recovery. He is currently free of flare ups and medication, and is enjoying his life sleeping in the sun and talking to birds.
T-CAMP
Training Communities to Achieve Maximum Potential
T-CAMP is an organization committed to ensuring every child has the support they need to thrive—not just academically, but as confident leaders and resilient individuals. They focus on three areas of life: academics, athletics, and family care, and organize fundraisers, auctions, holiday drives and basketball tournaments to support their mission and community. You can read more about them and find links to donate on their website here.
They are currently running “Christmas in the Community” and seeking holiday donations for up to 10 families that need it most.
FIRST RESPONDERS
We are proud every year to continue to support servicemen, first responders and their families, and are eternally grateful for their duty and sacrifice. This year we added the Wildland Firefighter Foundation — dedicated to supporting the families of firemen lost in the line of duty — and continued our longstanding support of Tunnel to Towers foundation. Please consider donating through the links below.
PAST RECIPIENTS
KISS THE GROUND
Supporting Regenerative Agriculture
Agriculture has a huge impact on our planet. The way we are currently producing our food is unsustainable and damaging the Earth’s ecosystems. Regenerative agriculture is one way forward. By improving farming practices we can ensure the land can be used for generations to come. We are supporting regenerative agriculture by donating to Kiss the Ground, a non-profit that focuses on educating the public about regenerative practices and advocating for new regulations. Check them out here: kisstheground.com.
SOCAL MOUNTAINS FOUNDATION
Supporting Public Lands
Public land is essential to human wellbeing. Americans collectively own approximately 640 million acres of public land. Public lands support healthy ecosystems and healthy economies, while also providing inspiration and recreation for millions of Americans every year. This is why our company is donating to the Southern California Mountains Foundation whose goal is to mobilize individuals to engage in environmental stewardship. You can check them out here: mountainfoundation.org.
CA COASTKEEPER
Protecting Our Water
Water is an important resource and can be easily contaminated by trash, stormwater and agriculture runoff. Clean water and healthy rivers are vital for a thriving community and climate resilience. This is why we are contributing money to California Coastkeeper Alliance, whose mission is to protect the water sources by advocating for critical legislation and holding leaders, legislators and polluters accountable. You can check them out here: https://cacoastkeeper.org/.
